I have an idea, actually, it’s not mine, but I think it would be amazing.
I was reading someone’s blog. This person is in a group and was saying that the group throughout the night takes turns praying for an hour. I think that’s SO cool. It reminds me of Jesus when He goes off by Himself and prays and is with His Father. I mean, look at John 17.
I think that an awesome challenge for our group would be to have a “prayer night”. I think it would be a great way for our group to prepare, even though we are far away from each other. Anyone who wants to can. I mean, I don’t totally know how it would work, but maybe we could pick one night sometime and have each person take an hour during the night to pray over our trip. I know that it won’t be easy, but I see this as an incredible learning experience. I mean, I cannot see myself praying for an hour at 3 a.m. Out of complete honesty, with me: it’s probably not going to happen, but with Jesus: ANYTHING is possible! I think that we could do it! 🙂 We could pray for the trip, the team, the people we will be with, the continued preparation of our hearts, AND we could listen for that Voice. Maybe I’m the only one who would be super excited about this, so anyone else want to do this? (If not, I am not offended, I promise! 🙂 )
